Optimal Home Inspections LLC is proudly led by Marshal Datkowitz, a seasoned professional with a diverse background. My journey began in college, where I financed my education through hands-on experience building swimming pools. After years in construction and home remodeling, I returned to the classroom at Stevens Institute of Technology for graduate studies. Though I spent time in the corporate world focused on computer systems and software, my passion for home improvement continued in my spare time, as I remodeled homes and apartments.

Now, I’ve come full circle and am excited to offer my extensive knowledge and expertise as a licensed home inspector in New Jersey. With a unique blend of practical construction experience and technical know-how, I am dedicated to providing you with thorough and reliable home inspections. I am a Licensed Home Inspector by the State of New Jersey and meet all the standards for the state. License Number: 24GI00176700

I am a Certified Radon Measurement Technician by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Certificate Number: MET13906

I am also Licensed by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection as a Commercial Pesticide Applicator for Termites and other wood-destroying insects. License Number: 61282B

Additionally, I hold IAC2 certification as a Mold and Radon Inspector, with the certification number IAC2-93943.
